Ian Aipperspach
BIOGRAPHY
Ian Aipperspach grew up in Corpus Christi, TX. He began playing piano at the age of eight and organ by the age of eleven. He has always been an enthusiastic lover of choral music, singing in choirs from a very early age. He would "help conduct" from the pew at his home church, First Baptist Church, Corpus Christi, TX.
A graduate of Del Mar College, John Brown University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and Texas Tech University, Ian enjoys utilizing his skills as Lecturer of Music for Ouachita Baptist University. Previously, he served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Music for East Texas Baptist University and Artistic Director for the Carlsbad Community Chorale (Carlsbad, NM). Other opportunities have allowed him to serve as a freelance accompanist for Texas Tech University, South Plains College, and Lubbock Christian University. He has also music directed, stage directed, coached, and accompanied many productions for Lubbock Moonlight Musicals, South Arkansas Arts Center, Lubbock Christian University, East Texas Baptist University, and Ouachita Baptist University.
He is married to Candice Lane Aipperspach (an amazing woman with TWO doctorates: Ph.D. & D.M.A.) who serves as Associate Professor of Music for Ouachita Baptist University. When not teaching, one can find her preparing for a role for either a Music Theatre or an Opera production. They reside in Arkadelphia, AR with their lovable foxhound, Bailey Gibbs Aipperspach.
